A look at Paul’s journey as a host and storyteller.

About Paul

Emmy nominated TV host, author, producer, and lifestyle expert Paul Wharton has built a dynamic career at the intersection of entertainment, style, and personal transformation. Paul’s newest series, Day of the Dinner, launching on Homeworthy, showcases his signature approach to inspired living by following remarkable hosts as they prepare unforgettable gatherings. The series marks the next evolution of Paul’s long journey as one of the most recognizable and trusted lifestyle voices in television.

Paul first captured national attention as a standout personality and transformation coach on MTV’s MADE. From there, he went on to become the Makeover Guru on the classic Ricki Lake Show, followed by appearances on VH1’s modeling series The Agency and TV Land’s She’s Got the Look with the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency. As both a model and host represented by Wilhelmina’s Creative Board in New York City, Paul worked across fashion, beauty, and television, bringing a natural talent for storytelling and reinvention to every project.

His momentum continued when he joined TV One as the makeover specialist on their first-ever makeover series Makeover Manor and later as a co-host of their first live national talk show, The DNC After Party, broadcast from Denver, Colorado. Paul then became a main player on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of DC, making franchise history as one of the first men to have his own full storylines, testimonials, and recurring coverage. At the same time, he served for more than a decade as the on-air face of The CW in Washington, DC (WDCW-TV), while also acting as the DMV’s casting judge for America’s Next Top Model for over ten cycles of the show.

Paul went on to host and executive produce his own lifestyle talk show, Paul Wharton Style, filmed between Washington, DC and WPIX CW in midtown Manhattan, before moving to WTTG Fox 5 as a lifestyle contributor and long-running co-host of Good Day DC. His national presence continued to grow as he launched The Paul Wharton Show on SiriusXM Channel 141, where he blends celebrity interviews, lifestyle guidance, and his signature wit with meaningful conversations about living well.

In 2020, Paul grew his career internationally when he expanded to London. There he became a lifestyle contributor on ITV’s top-rated morning show Lorraine, a contributor on ITV2’s Totally Unbelievable, and the Love and Life Coach on the UK’s hit reality series The Only Way Is Essex, guiding cast members through relationship and personal challenges. Paul was also featured in OK Magazine UK’s digital series Five Favorite Things About My Home, introducing British audiences to his warm, eclectic, and beautifully curated style.

Paul’s holiday specials have become a beloved part of his storytelling legacy. His Emmy nominated special Home for the Holidays with Paul Wharton and Patti LaBelle features an emotional full circle moment as Paul visits Patti’s home for Christmas, reflecting on their first meeting when Patti offered him a ride home after a concert when he was just thirteen years old. Paul’s 2025 special, A Dreamy Holiday Miracle, stars the legendary Jennifer Holliday and includes a moving inspirational message from Paul’s niece, Anasia Ovia. His special A Fabulous Holiday with Paul Wharton and Friends features appearances by Jenifer Lewis, Vanessa Williams, Michelin Star Chef Robert Wiedmaier, style expert Joy Kingsley-Ibeh, and Paul’s mother Brenda as the festive cocktail host. Paul also created A Joyous Holiday from London with Holly Robinson Peete, filmed during the pandemic lockdown and filled with virtual connection, British style, and heartfelt moments, as well as Merry Mosaic, a warm family-forward Christmas special showcasing both of his parents, his sister, and his nieces in a celebration of love, joy, and togetherness.

As an author, Paul has written two celebrated books. His first book, Pulling It All Together: Essential Style Advice on Being Beautiful, Confident, and Most of All Happy (Simon and Schuster), was completed while Paul and his mother were living in the iconic East Hampton mansion Grey Gardens, the former home of Big and Little Edie Bouvier Beale, the cousin and aunt of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, a fun fact for pop culture fans. His second book, Pretty Twisted: The Ultimate Guide to Creating Fabulous Craft Cocktails at Home, is beloved for its inventive recipes and glamorous, high-spirited storytelling. In 2026, Paul will release his Day of the Dinner entertaining book, expanding the series into a full line of kitchen and home products.

Paul has also built influential partnerships across fashion, automotive, and lifestyle. For the past three years, he has served as an Original Ambassador for the Genesis automotive brand, appearing in national campaigns, hosting the Genesis Invitational, and representing Genesis at major cultural events including Vogue World in both New York and London alongside Anna Wintour. His creative direction, storytelling, and elevated lifestyle sensibility have positioned him as one of the brand’s most recognizable ambassadors.

Today, Paul Wharton Style serves as the digital home for Paul’s expanding world of recipes, entertaining guides, design inspiration, home products, blogs, and all of his television and media projects. Throughout his career, Paul has remained committed to helping people live beautifully, confidently, and authentically. Whether through television, books, coaching, or design, his mission is simple: to inspire others to celebrate their lives, elevate their everyday experiences, and bring joy, style, and intention into every corner of their home.
