Omarosa’s Dream Wedding

The beautiful bride Omarosa and I on her wedding day.

Many of you know that Omarosa and I have been in each other’s lives as the best of friends for over a decade. From her days on The Apprentice and my days on MTV, we have been ride or die through the ups and the downs, no matter what life threw at us, we’ve always had each other’s back. This past year’s Presidential Election has been the most challenging moment in our 12 year friendship. I supported Hillary Clinton and Omarosa was on the Trump train and everyone knows how passionate the entire world became leading up to the election. The truth is, we said and did hurtful things to each other for first time in lives. It left our friendship feeling broken and with each of us having hurt feelings and at times a bit of resentment.

Just after saying, “I do”, the bride was overcome with emotion. It was a beautiful ceremony.

After having time to lick our wounds, we made time to talk about how we feel about each other… We decided that the love and loyalty we shared for so many years was worth fighting for and I am so happy we did.

Omarosa’s bridesmaids wearing the pearl earrings I gifted them from Mervis Diamond Importers. They looked simply beautiful.

I don’t know any individual personally that has suffered more loss than Omarosa. From her Father and brother being killed to the most public loss of her fiancé, actor Michael Clarke Duncan and the unexpected death of her only sister Gladys during the presidential campaign, I’ve been there for her, at times wondering if my friend would be able to recover from a heart that had been broken seemingly too many times. Through her faith, Omarosa did make it through and now here we are at her wedding weekend. Finally, a cause for celebration, a gathering filled with laughter, enthusiasm and hope. This was truly a full circle moment, watching someone that you care about have their life come back together.

I wanted to give Omarosa a wedding gift that would mean a lot to her. I know that she chose 9 of her best girlfriends to be her Bridesmaids and I wanted to offer a gift that could be enjoyed by all of those wonderful women. I decided to gift Omarosa with the gift of Fresh Water Pearl earrings from my friends at Mervis Diamond Importers on K Street NW in DC. I took an image of the bridesmaids dresses and went on the hunt for the perfect pair that would look great in the wedding. The team at Mervis made the experience of finding the perfect jewelry easy and most importantly for me, a lot of fun!

Bravo to the team at Mervis Diamond Importers for helping me select the perfect earrings for the bridesmaids.

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks looked gorgeous in her royal blue lace dress. I guess we both got the blue memo!

On the morning of the wedding, my date Charrisse Jordan of The Real Housewives of Potomac picked me up and we headed to the hotel to watch my friend finally have her day of joy. There was another Real Housewife at the ceremony, Phaedra Parks from The Real Housewives of Atlanta was looking fabulous and unbothered by rumors that she would not be returning to the popular Bravo TV franchise. I thought I was prepared but apparently I wasn’t as I felt a few tears well up in my eyes after watching the bridal party make their way to the altar in preparation for the bride to be. Omarosa was a vision in pink, the perfect color for the Cherry Blossom themed wedding and brunch reception that followed. My favorite parts of the wedding you ask, when Omarosa was asked to repeat “For Richer or Poorer” and hit us all with a remix, “For Richer or Richer” which will be my next single out on iTunes LOL! And also, when the pastor said to the attendees, speak now or forever hold your peace and Omarosa look at everyone like “I wish you would”!

My date Charrisse Jordan and I enterting the ceremony as reported by Daily Mail UK. They apparently thought Charrisse was my other girlfriend Niecy Nash. Niecy’s response “It’s all in the lips baby”!
