An Extraordinary Safari Adventure + Diamonds… All Aboard! February 17-26

As many of you know, I’ve embarked on an “Extraordinary Adventures” tour in my life. I’m not quite sure when it started and I have no plans to stop. I’m writing this post from Italy, where I’ve been “on tour” for the past 3 weeks, checking out the Masseria’s in Puglia down south and the Adriatic Sea to the chic Rome eateries and fun sporting life of Rimini, as a guest of World Cup winning Italian soccer player Christian “Bobo” Vieri at his #BobosSummerCup tournament. As summer continues to fly by, I’m looking at extraordinary opportunies to see the world in 2018 and I have found one that I want to share with you! The 2018 South African Safari with Mervis Diamond & ESPN 980.

Mervis Diamond is a leader in diamond industry providing the best quality stones and service in the DC area. We all see that impossibly sparkling stones that fill their downtown store Mervis Diamond 1700 K Street NW WDC 20006

What you may not know is that The Mervis family comes from South Africa and have been in the South African diamond business for 80+ years. Ronnie Mervis will be leading this trip, proud to share his homeland with you. Steve Czaban will co-host with Ronnie, representing ESPN 980. In addition to seeing the animals and incredible sights, discovering that this trip is not just extraordinary but also ethical will be a powerful moment of understanding for safari participants. Learning about how the diamond industry helps support an enormous number of communities in South Africa will make you look at buying diamonds differently forever.

This Safari is sure to be a once in a lifetime experience!

You will view game at sunrise and sunset from open safari vehicles, accompanied by a professional game ranger and skilled Shangaan tracker.

Radio contact brings you reports of the latest game sightings, increasing your chance of spotting the ‘Big 5’. The private lodges adjacent to Kruger have well-earned reputations for excellent wildlife viewing experiences… which translates into a photographer’s paradise!

Some of the common species seen on a regular basis: elephant, lion, buffalo, giraffe, crocodile, zebra, hyena and, of course, the ever present birdlife and antelope species. Leopard sightings, although generally a challenge throughout Africa, are becoming common at Kruger. It is also quite possible one will see cheetah, rhino, wild dog and some of the very rare species such as genet and pangolin!

The safari vehicles in South Africa are open-air, which allows for maximum game viewing for all seated participants.

The dates are February 17-26th 2018 and the cost is around $5,000 per person which includes; all flights (international + domestic within South Africa), all ground transportation, all luxury hotels and safari lodging, all guides and trackers, entrance fees for vineyards, safari, etc. Most meals except for during free time.

This is not an experience you want to miss… The perfect opportunity for adventurous singles, a romantic experience for couples or even a once in a lifetime family vacation.
