Bustier Brunch: For the Ladies!

It’s October, which means it is time to celebrate our strong women and the fight to end breast cancer!

This Sunday I attended the annual Bustier Brunch by the Natalie Williams Breast Cancer Foundation! I was the master of  Ceremony along with the talented, and beautiful Mistress of Ceremony, Deja Perez.

The event was full of incredible women who have either beat their battle with breast cancer, are still fighting it, or are allies to the movement to end it. They all had a story to tell and the energy in the room was indescribable. Love flowed through the space as speakers such as Dr. Ro of Ebony Magazine told touching, personal stories of their interactions with breast cancer and the effects it has on the patients and their loved ones.

What I took away from the event was the importance of pushing our mothers, daughters, wives, sisters and any woman in our lives to get mammograms and stay on top of their health for the sake of life itself and experiencing it to the  fullest for as long as they physically can. GO GET A MAMMOGRAM!
