Fair Chance is in preparations for its highly anticipated Butterfly Bash fundraising celebration on October 21st. The nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of children in DC’s most underserved communities will host its annual Fair Chance Butterfly Bash on Friday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. This year’s event will honor Debbi & Ernie Jarvis for their commitment to community initiatives and dedication to youth-serving nonprofits in the Washington, DC area. Media personality Paul Wharton, will serve as this year’s event emcee.
"Fair Chance is an engine for social change. We strengthen the sustainability and performance of community-based nonprofits to achieve life-changing results for children and youth living in poverty," says Executive Director, Gretchen Van der Veer, PhD. "Since 2002, we have worked with more than 100 DC nonprofits serving a collective 80,000 children and youth. Within five years of working with Fair Chance, our partner nonprofits realize a 62 percent median increase in number of children served and a 101 percent median increase in revenue. Fair Chance is a cost-effective way to multiply positive results for children and youth in our city’s most underserved neighborhoods.”

I am thrilled to be the Honorary Gala Co-Chair for The Board of Directors of The Ellington Fund's "An Evening at Duke's Place" to benefit The Duke Ellington School of The Arts. I love this school and always wanted to attend the school when I was a child. I wasn't able to be a student at Ellington but it sure does feel good to work with them now and help raise funds for their fabulous, talented students!

Rolling through Capital Pride DC in my very fancy ride Mercedes Benz SL63. Thanks to my friends at Euro Bethesda and specifically my sales contact Eric Scott that pulled me through the parade in style with my beautiful friend Pam Simpson and my crew! Love is in the air!!!
Host, Paul Wharton, along with the clients of Metro Center Offices, helped celebrate its new renovation. Last Thursday, celebrants enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, wine, and cocktails, which were provided by the city's top private chefs through the new app Hungry.
Here are a few events that are on Paul's radar. Whether we're involved or just supporting, you're sure to have a great time partying, eating, drinking, socializing and being charitable. We'll see you on the red carpet!
